I have taken my car to Babcock Auto for about a year now and have always been pleased by their HONESTY and the quality of everything they do. Recently, when I called to make an appointment for an oil change and to look into getting new tires for the winter, Jeremy took the time to research the best options for my vehicle and call me back with estimates (without even coming in!). I was reminded of my appointment by email and text. On the day of my appointment, I was informed of a few other things that were wearing out in our van and my questions were answered clearly and completely. My decision to wait on a few items was received without pressure. My kids were happily entertained for more than an hour with the large and comfortable play area. I felt like a true guest from start to finish. Quality!

*UPDATE* I'm updating my previous review from a measely two stars to a full fledged five stars. Why you ask? Because of something incredible that happened recently that I have never experianced before. I posted my prior review here on 7/21/12, and it was not exactly flattering. To my complete and utter shock, two days later the store owner, Jeanna, had called and left a voicemail on my cellphone. She said she saw my review here on Yelp and apologized for what had happened and gave an explanation of their two year, 24,000 mile warranty and wanted me to bring it back in so they could look at it. She even gave me her personal cell phone number so I could talk to her. I did end up talking to her (not through her cell phone though) and she was very apologetic and very professional about the situation. I took my car back to the shop, and this time I got three phone calls walking me through the progress being made on my car, so I didn't have to call them. They also got it fixed fast; I was in and out the same day. The guy behind the counter was honest about missing some problems with my brakes the first time I was there. So to compensate, I got all new front and rear brakes FOR FREE!!! Even after I offered to pay for them, he refused and said that he wanted no hard feelings and wished for me to come back as a returning customer. Even though it is a shame that there were some problems the first time I went there, the way they took care of me this time around was world class. They displayed integrity, ownership, and caring. These traits show that this shop is serious about pleasing their customers, and I find that to be refreshing. I will be back for more repairs if need be. Good job guys and gals!


This place is a huge auto emporium located next to Hwy 52 near the Napa and Menard's. It has a giant lobby like a fancy car dealership, with coffee and magazines and stuff, looks all new and swanky. The woman I worked with was nice on the phone and I was able to get my car in within a few days, unlike other places that are often booked up for weeks. I dropped my car off and I was able to get a courtesy ride home during the repairs and then picked up afterwards. Convenient. I got an oil change for $29.99, air filter changed out for $17.98. They did a courtesy check on the rest of the car because it's been almost 150,000 miles and I just wanted to make sure it was in good running order. They told me the rear brake pads and rotors needed replacing, that cost about $250, unfortunately. I meant to ask to see these myself to confirm but I forgot to do it (they did show me the dirty air filter though). They replaced a serpentine belt for 110.67. Lastly they told me the battery was not measuring up to what it should, and gave me a little receipt I could use to try to get a credit on my warranty for it. They did not pressure me to do any of these repairs but just presented them as options with varying priority levels. Overall, this was a very good experience and I would recommend this place.
